To add a name or save a name and number to a contacts list in Google Voice:

1. Go to Google Voice at voice.google.com.
2. On the left hand side you should see a panel that show numbers you have recently had contact with either through text messages or phone calls.
3. Click the phone number you wish to add a name and number to Google Voice. Click or press the phone number on the left to select that number.
4. Click the 3 vertical dots ⋮ that appear at the top of the center panel of Google Voice.
5. From the menu that appears, click or press the menu item People.
6. You will see the phone number in the list with a small + icon to the right. Click that plus + icon.
7. A window will appear center screen where you can input a contact name and contact label to that phone number.
8. Click the button with the text Add.

Persons Phone Number Not Visible in Google Voice?

If the person whose phone number you want to assign a name to and save in Google Voice contacts does not appear on the left side panel then you will want to use Google Voice to send this phone number a text or a phone call. Once this has been done that persons number will show up on the left side panel on the top.
