I would say I have to agree with you about not possible getting acurrate numbers of search volume for keyword phrases on YouTube. To a certain extent, Google, yes, via Google Adwords keyword planner as you mentioned. Never really thought about it before but whenever I would see websites regarding YouTube search analysis website, I just assumed it was real but your article makes complete and perfect sense.

Once, back around 2012 I paid for a few months membership of a keyword website called Jaaxy which claimed to provide accurate keyword search volume for Google, not YouTube. Back then I was definitely a newbie to internet marketing in general. But like I said, I only had a membership for a few months and then I stopped paying because I never felt it help with actual results. Like we have said a million times in web pages and blog posts, people get too hung up on the volume of searches a keyword phrase has. If it is showing up in the Google or YouTube auto suggest, it is getting enough searches to target content around, assuming the competition for the keyword phrase is extremely low. As far as we are concerned, the competitiveness of a keyword phrase is the most important metric and this CAN be measured and test accurate. Of course no one gets your money for this one LOL.
