Creating File Exceptions for NANO AntiVirus

Creating and exception to whitelist or safelist a file or program that Nano antivirus is false flagging is pretty simple and straightforward, even if you are not familiar with the software at all.

1. Double click on the tray icon for Nano anti virus to make the program visible and capable of being worked with.
2. Click the ⛭ Settings tile to the left.
3. Click the Trusted zone tab towards the top.
4. Click the Add (to trusted zone) link to the right. A small file/folder dialog box will appear so you can select either a file or folder to safelist and allow in Nano antivirus.
5. Click the button with the three dots .... A small dropdown menu will appear that allows you to select either Select file or Select folder
6. Click the Select file menu item.
7. An Open dialog window will appear. Navigate to the location of the file or program you wish to whitelist in Nano antivirus. Left click the file to select it and then press the dialog windows Open button.
8. The Open dialog window will close and you will see the full path to the file or program you selected in the previous step inside the textbox of Nano's small file/folder dialog box, the one you previously clicked the ... button on.
9. Click the OK button. You will now see the path to the file or program you selected in the safelisted Objects listbox.
